FAQ
Costs and plans
Do I need a paid Framer plan?
To try things out, the free plan is enough. Your site is then published on a framer.website address. For your own domain and additional features you need a paid site plan. Please note that the template purchase and the Framer plan are two separate costs. Current plans are listed at framer.com/pricing.
How do I remove the Framer badge?
The badge can be removed with a paid site plan. Check the plan details on framer.com/pricing to see which plan fits your needs.
Publishing and domain
I changed something, but my website doesn't show it.
Changes only go live after you click Publish at the top right. Afterwards, reload your site with a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R, on Mac Cmd + Shift + R) so your browser doesn't show an old version.
My domain doesn't work after connecting it.
DNS changes can take up to 24 to 48 hours. Also check at your domain provider whether old A or CNAME records are still set that conflict with the new ones. The exact steps are described in Editing Content.
How do I get my website onto Google?
Framer generates a sitemap for your site automatically. Add your domain in the Google Search Console and submit the sitemap there. Indexing can take a few days. Unique page titles and descriptions help (see Editing Content).
Content
How do I change my menu, events or blog posts?
Through the CMS in the left sidebar of Framer. Choose a collection and edit, add or delete entries. More details are in Editing Content.
How do I change the font?
Open Styles in the left sidebar and change the text styles there. Sizes and spacings used in this template are listed in the Style Guide. If you upload your own font, check that its license allows use on websites.
My images load slowly.
Resize images before uploading them (for example to a maximum width of 2000 px) and avoid uploading oversized original files.
How do I add a second language?
Framer offers a localization feature for this. It may require a specific plan, so check the current plan details first.
Forms, tracking and legal
Where do the submissions from my contact form go?
In the settings of the form you define where submissions are sent, for example to an email address or to a connected tool. Send a test submission after setting it up to make sure everything arrives.
How do I add Google Analytics or other scripts?
Go to Site Settings, open General and use the Custom Code area. Paste your script there and publish the site again.
Do I need a cookie banner?
As soon as you use tracking or load external services (for example analytics, maps or embedded videos), you usually need one. The legal review of your website, including imprint, privacy policy and cookie consent, is your responsibility.
Collaboration and safety
How do I give a team member or my agency access?
Invite them as a collaborator through the sharing options of your Framer project. Choose a role that only allows what the person actually needs to do.
How do I restore an earlier version?
Framer keeps a version history. Open it from the project menu and restore the version you want.
Template and support
Can I use the template for more than one website?
[Add your license terms here, for example: one template license per website.]
How do I contact support, and what should I send?
